The WAO Experience
A limitless outlet for professional artists to share their truth with community worldwide.
About The World Arts Organization Experience
Mission Statement
To unite people of all backgrounds through the power of professional collaborative multi media arts experiences.
What is WAO?
My vision for WAO is for it to be limitless. So in the future you may see WAO Forums, WAO Festival, WAO Community etc... I want it to be a safe space for professional artists to feel empowered to speak their truth through art and collaborate with artists across genres and then find ways to make their work serve their surrounding communities. This project is designed to be able to travel so it may not always be in the wonderful space of the City Heights Performance Annex. But for most of the rest of 2020 we all have the opportunity to experience one of San Diego’s only free professional theatres. This space is a perfect example of giving back through support for the arts. The Weinghert Library has created a space for artists to produce professional shows, give classes and create safely. I’m honored to have partnered with the City Heights library for the next year to help WAO in its beginning steps. I’m so excited to see all the projects we will create! I also wanted to develop this organization to bridge arts genres of all kinds, because sometimes we all get comfortable in our own creative circles. This will be an opportunity to connect with many different types of artists and create some beautiful art and community concepts together.
The World Arts Organization will be an outlet for professional artists to collaborate, create, have dialogue, give back to the community and showcase finished work in a free, professional space.
Being a performance artist for many years I have seen, heard of and been asked to perform for free by various venues that make a profit off of our talent being at their establishment. I have never been okay with this and know that many other artists struggle with this type of situation as well. How and where can we showcase our work without compromising our artistic and professional integrity? Well here it is and it will be free for everyone!

More about WAO
The wonderful thing about WAO is that it will be a unique and completely different experience each time an event happens. Ms Lanuza is looking forward to producing more concerts, classes, workshops, festivals and forums in the years to come with the mission of uniting all cultures, backgrounds and expressions and raising societal awareness through the power of art. WAO hopes that you join them for all of the future WAO Experiences and help spread truth and powerful energy through professionally produced art!
Although the concepts of WAO (World Arts Organization) have been a part of artist Gloria Lanuza's life since birth, it was officially founded in 2019.
The inspiration for WAO stemmed from decades of being surrounded by various types of arts and performance venues. Gloria's international travels and production experiences globally have solidified her desire to create an opportunity for all types of professional artists to collaborate in ways that will empower each other and our surrounding communities.
